With this body

​

Psychologist, counsellor, athlete,

nurse, babysitter. Actor most of all.

 

I know what I am;

they remind me of what I’m not.

 

But I don’t send texts

to say I’m working late

 

or that I’ve stopped at the shops

on the way home.

 

A different face every hour.

I’m the truth in all its guises.
